Die Stiftung bezweckt die Förderung von Lehre und Forschung sowie des Studiums auf dem Gebiet des Bauwesens an der ETH Zürich vorweg im Bereich des derzeitigen Departementes für Bau, Umwelt und Geomatik resp. dessen Nachfolgeeinheit. Sie kann Beiträge leisten, namentlich an Forschungsprojekte, Lehrveranstaltungen und an wissenschaftliche Publikationen sowie an Studienarbeiten innovativer Studierender. Zur Verfügung stehen die Erträge des Vermögens, soweit sie nicht für die Sicherung der Ertragskraft der Vermögenssubstanz eingesetzt werden müssen.
