Die Genossenschaft bezweckt, ihren Mitgliedern preisgünstigen Wohnraum zu vermitteln und diesen dauernd der Spekulation zu entziehen. Die Tätigkeit der Genossenschaft ist nicht gewinnstrebig. Die Genossenschaft erstellt und vermietet preisgünstige Wohnungen an ihre Mitglieder. Sie kann zu diesem Zweck unbebaute und bebaute Liegenschaften und Baurechte erwerben, belasten und veräussern. Die Mitglieder sind verpflichtet, die von ihnen gemieteten Wohnungen selber zu bewohnen. Im Hinblick auf das Bundesgesetz über den Erwerb von Grundstücken durch Personen im Ausland müssen die Wohnungen Mitgliedern ausländischer Nationalität als Hauptwohnung am Ort ihres rechtmässigen und tatsächlichen Wohnsitzes dienen.
