Zweck der gemeinnützigen Stiftung ist die Förderung der Kultur und des Kulturaustausches zwischen der Schweiz und anderen Ländern als Beitrag zur Völkerverständigung. Sämtliche Formen von Kultur und Kunst wie namentlich Musik, Theater, Tanz, Literatur, Film, bildende Kunst, neue Medien sowie der akademische Austausch können gepflegt und gefördert werden. Insbesondere besteht die Aufgabe der Stiftung darin, im Diskurs und in Kooperation mit kulturellen Einrichtungen im In- und Ausland das Festival CULTURESCAPES zu organisieren und durchzuführen. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke.
