Die Genossenschaft ist Eigentümerin des Hotel Ofenhorn in Binn. Sie verfolgt grundsätzlich keine Erwerbszwecke. Sie bezweckt in gemeinsamer Selbsthilfe namentlich: Erhaltung und Aufwertung des Hotels Ofenhorn als Baudenkmal aus der Belle Epoque und den sorgfältigen Umgang mit seiner wertvollen Bausubstanz und seinem historischen Interieur; Sicherstellung des Unterhalts und Betriebs des Hotels Ofenhorn in Binn; Stärkung der lokalen Wirtschaft, insbesondere die langfristige Sicherstellung von Arbeitsplätzen in der Talschaft Binn sowie Förderung eines nachhaltigen Tourismus im Binntal; Zusammenarbeit namentlich mit dem Landschaftspark Binntal, mit Binntal Tourismus und mit dem Verein Binn Kultur. Die Tätigkeit der Genossenschaft als Non-Profit-Organisation umfasst alle mit dem Zweck zusammenhängenden Geschäfte auf gemeinnütziger und sozialer Grundlage. Sie verwendet die finanziellen Mittel mit grösster Sorgfalt. Sie kann zur Erfüllung ihrer Ziele Gesellschaften errichten oder sich an Gesellschaften beteiligen.
