Die Sektion Segeln bezweckt die Förderung des Segelsports und die Schaffung günstiger Segelmöglichkeiten für ihre Mitglieder. Sie kann sich zur besseren Verfolgung dieses Zwecks regionalen oder überregionalen Verbänden anschliessen, deren Ziel ebenfalls die Förderung des Segelsports - allenfalls auch in einer bestimmten Richtung - ist. Die Sektion Segeln ist politisch und konfessionell neutral.
