Bezweckt den von Walter Robert Corti im September 1954 veröffentlichten Plan einer Akademie für philosophische Forschung zu fördern und zu verwirklichen durch Schaffung eines übernationalen Zentrums für die Verantwortung des Wissens. Zu diesem Zwecke stellt die Stiftung die Mittel bereit zur Errichtung und zum Betrieb der Akademie.
