Die Stiftung bezweckt, Beiträge zu leisten erstens für eine nachhaltige Verbesserung der Lebensumstände von bedürftigen Menschen in benachteiligten Regionen der Welt und zweitens zum Schutz der natürlichen Umwelt. Es sollen nachhaltige Projekte und Organisationen insbesondere in den Bereichen a) ländliche Entwicklung, b) Umweltschutz und c) Gesundheit und Ausbildung von Kindern und Jugendlichen unterstützt werden. Die Stiftung ist politisch und konfessionell neutral und verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke. Die Stifter behalten sich vor, den Stiftungszweck gemäss den Anforderungen von Art. 86a ZGB durch die zuständige Bundesbehörde ändern zu lassen.
