Der Verein bezweckt die Organisation und Durchführung von Zertifizierungen von Personen im Management bzw. von Organisationen oder von Teilbereichen derselben. Er verfolgt die Entwicklung auf dem Gebiet des Managements, um diese in den Anforderungsprofilen der Zertifizierungen einzubringen. Zudem führt er Kompetenzüberprüfungen in anderer Form als Zertifizierungen durch. Im Wesentlichen setzt er zur Verifizierung der Kompetenzen Berufsexperten als Assessoren ein.
