Die Stiftung bezweckt die Unterstützung der Aus- und Weiterbildung im Bereich des Strassen- und Verkehrswesens. Zur Erfüllung dieses Zweckes können unter anderem finanziert werden: Organisation und Durchführung von Anlässen zur Förderung von Lehrlingen sowie Studierenden der Aus- und Weiterbildung; Gemeinsame Organisation und Durchführung von Studiengängen mit Hochschulen; Erarbeitung von Kursunterlagen für zertifizierte Ausbildungen; Zertifizierung von VSS-Experten; Preise für Bachelor-, Master-, Dissertationsarbeiten und weitere Arbeiten; Stipendien für die Förderung eines extra muros Projektes von Masterstudenten oder Doktoranden; Stipendien für den Besuch von höheren Aus- und Weiterbildungskursen.
